Tea for Twenty

For my 21st I did have a massive party in a barn which had the theme Masquerade! It was very fun, so fun infact that I don't feel that I can share pictures of the event!! However, for my grandparents and others who couldn't make the Masquerade, (twenty people to be exact), I had a very posh and sophisticated tea party at my Gran and Grandpa's house back home in Derbyshire. As you can see from the photos my Gran has a great collection of tea cups which I totally envy!!! My mum and Auntie did a great job of making the most yummy cakes, as they always do.

I have put a few pictures of me up so you can see my outfit. I would like to point out there were taken by my 7 year old sister so no looking my best, but I haven't shared an outfit post for a while so thought I should. The outfit is a bargin, (as it always is with me), my top is Primark and orange isn't a colour I would normally wear but you have to try theses things and I thought it went really well with my Topshop green cardi, and were perfect for a tea party. Although now I feel like maybe I should of worn a tea dress, but I was so desperate to wear my new top!!

Keeping Time

I adore pocket watches and have really loved how they have been fashioned into neaklaces. For my 21st birthday my boyfriend got me this vintage ladies pocket watch! It is french, silver and from 1900. One of the best things about it is, it keeps time!! Also it still has its wind up key and a really loud tick-tock :) I wanted to wear it around my neak as I don't tend to have pockets on my outfits, but as it is silver I can't wear it on a chain as this would spoil the sliver, Eddie put it on this lovely navy ribbon, which I think is just perfect. A little nervous about wearing it with a ribbon, (don't want it to come loose and fall off).

The top I am wearing is a bargin from Tesco's F and F at only £8!! Althought you can't see in the picture I paired it with a rusty browm skirt from H and M.

Sorry about the state of my nail polish, bit lazy this week.
I was also given a fantastic collection of individual tea cups for both christmas and my birthday, here are just three of my favourites, and I apologise for the quality of picture, hadn't got the right camera setting on, (I am still learning).

Not A Grate Start

I realise that it is a LONG time ago since my first post!!

However, just before christmas I was in quite a bad car accident :S
Back on track now and have just had my 21st first birthday, January has been a good month and can't wait to tell you all about it.

Peace Gardens

Just a quick trip into town for a hot chocolate and cake, (ofcourse), with my friend Hannah, who kindly took the pictures of me.

I would like to say we were at some cute independent cafe, but no, just cafe nero, was lovely just the same. The peace gardens in the city are nice at this time with the trees still having their autumn leaves, but the christmas decorations are up, showing the modern against the old buildings, lovely.

I will have to take a trip back to the christmas tree shown above, I am sure it willl look really pretty when the lights are turned on.

I also went into my favourite vintage shop in Sheffield called Syd and Mallory and got myself the fur bag I have had my eye in for ages! Aswell as a trinket box and a cute little brooch.

As for the clothes I am wearing, not to sure of the coat, but its supper warm and comfy, so its good for me. As for my outfit it's all Topshop, that untill writing about it now I hadn't realised. I really like the plums and greens that are on the high street at the moment, very autumn. I like a bit of mustard colour thats also around, but feel it makes me look a little washed out.
